As reported by CNN, Jon Hamm checked himself into the high-end Silver Hill Hospital, which is affiliated with Yale University, in New Canaan, Connecticut, at the end of February. The news came less than two weeks before the final eight-episode run of "Mad Men" on April 5.

"With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction," Hamm's rep stated, as Washington Post quoted. "They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward."

Meanwhile, E! News also shared more insight about the actor's troubles.

"People around him have known for a while about his problem with alcohol," a source said. "In the last few years, he has seemed sad."

Fortunately, Jon Hamm opted to seek professional advice with his issues. And now an E! News insider said the "Mad Men" star is "doing well now and appears to be much happier."
