Giuliana Rancic Is Too Thin? ‘E! News’ Host Opens Up About Unending Weight Loss Speculations And Devastation Over Surrogate’s Second Miscarriage

In the recent months, Giuliana Rancic has been bombarded with several controversies including her offensive racial comments to Zendaya in "Fashion Police," her surrogate's miscarriage earlier this year and the unending speculations about her weight loss.

Now, 40-year-old Giuliana Rancic finally opened up about her struggles to People Magazine. First, the "Fashion Police" co-host addressed the speculations surrounding her thin frame. According to ET Online, Rancic felt the rumors has "gotten out of hand."

"Some people were saying, 'The cancer is probably back,'" Rancic told People. "And they were accusing me of every eating disorder. I thought to myself, 'God, if someone really thought I had an eating disorder, what a horrible way to approach it.'"

The speculations about Giuliana Rancic's slim appearance started at the Golden Globes red carpet on Jan. 11 when the online realm flooded with rumors of eating disorders and some were even worst. Fortunately, the mother-of-one, who was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy in 2011, is healthy but revealed the cancer-suppressing medication has had an effect on her body.

"I started noticing that I was eating a lot, but not gaining weight at all," Rancic shared. "I was concerned." But as per her oncologist, the drug she's taking can alter metabolism and could cause weight loss.

"It's really hurtful," Rancic said of the criticism about her appearance. "I'm sorry that some people think I'm disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there's nothing I can do. I'm lucky that I even have the type of cancer that reacts to the medicine."

Giuliana Rancic also admitted that the weight loss has been difficult for her, as stated by Huffington Post.

"I look in the mirror and it's hard for me," she confessed. "I am really thin. I want to look fit and beautiful and sexy, and I can't."

Meanwhile, aside from weight issues, Giuliana Rancic revealed her devastation after they lost their last embryo when their surrogate miscarried for the second time, Daily Mail reported.

Guiliana Rancic and her husband Bill have always been open about their struggles with fertility and their desire to give their first-born son Duke a sibling. However, things became much harder for the couple because of their tragic loss. As E! News cited, Giuliana and Bill learned on New Year's Eve that their surrogate, who was pregnant with their final embryo, had miscarried.

"It was painful," Rancic admitted. "We were so optimistic with this last embryo. We thought, 'This is definitely going to work. This is our last shot.'"

Rancic also expressed that their latest lost was "the toughest blow." But though the pregnancy became harder than ever, the couple said they are open to any and all options available to them, which include adoption, ABC News said.

"We're open to everything," she said. "I think adoption is a beautiful gift you're giving each other. And it's funny, I'm even more open to [adoption] than I was before. Because I think to myself, 'I love Duke so much, if I couldn't take care of him, I hope there would be someone else who would love him.'"

Giuliana Rancic, whose memoir titled, "Going Off Script" will hit the shelves April 7, said she never want to be distracted by the criticisms.

"I never want my weight to distract people from what I do," she stated. "I refuse to be broken [by what people say]. I have so many beautiful things in my life."
