Nicole Kidman’s Net Worth Increased Due To Controversial Etihad Airways Ad?

Nicole Kidman's net worth has quickly become one of the most talked about topics online after the 47-year-old actress was put under fire for doing an advertisement for Etihad Airways. Many are now wondering if the controversy has affected the wealth of the Australian talent.

Born in Honolulu to Australian parents, Kidman rose to fame in her country first before she moved to Hollywood and gained a lot of recognition as an artist.

Kidman bagged a lot of awards for her career as an actress in Australia. She won the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actress in 1988 for "Emerald City" and she received the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actress in 1987 for her remarkable mini-series titled "Vietnam."

The beautiful star has appeared in several notable flicks including: "Far and Away," "Eyes Wide Shut," "Billy Bathgate," "To Die For," "Batman Forever," and Moulin Rouge, among others.

One of her most remarkable works was 1989's "Dead Calm" for which she got a nomination for Saturn Award for Best Actress.

Because of her extensive work in the industry, it is not surprising that Nicole Kidman's net worth is listed at $120 million, according to the Richest.

On the other hand, Celebrity Net Worth claims Kidman's wealth is valued at $130 million. However, she is currently being plagued by harsh comments and bashing after she reportedly appeared in an advertisement for Etihad Airways.

While the money she earns from this advertising stint is not questionable, many quickly took to social media to slam the actress for being the face of Etihad, an airways company that is known for its disappointing business practices.

The partnership between the actress and the company quickly became the talk of the town because Nicole is well-known for being an advocate of women's rights.

Amid the controversy, the Association of Professional Flight Attendantsechoed a strong message against Kidman and Etihad Airways.

"We urge you, on behalf of the women and girls that you spoke of so eloquently [on International Women's Day], not to play a part in promoting Etihad Airways, a company that imposes abusive labor practices on its female employees and whose sole owner is a government that stands against the very world that you imagine," the group wrote, according to E! News

Then, they added, "The APFA - a union that represents 25,000 flight attendants, including nearly 19,000 female crewmembers - has long been a leading voice on the issue of discriminatory labor practices in our industry. We would gladly welcome your voice to our effort."

It's not clear how much money Kidman got from this advertising stint, but it should absolutely be worth it since she's now being plagued by a lot of raging comments on social media.
