Microsoft is rumored to be dropping a major bomb later this month, and it could only mean one thing: the company is all set to unveil its 4th installment in its line of tablet-laptop hybrids.
According to TechRadar, the Redmond-based company is planning on launching its Surface Pro 4 at the Build 2015 conference and will start rolling the product in the second half of this year.
A reliable source recently told DigiTimes that Microsoft is planning to "unveil its next-generation Surface Pro 4 tablet during the upcoming Build developer conference in April," prior to mass producing the tablet-hybrid this June.
Ever since the Surface Pro 3 landed the market, several speculations and rumors on the specs and features of its successor already surfaced online. One of which is the possibility that the new tablet-laptop hybrid will sport Intel's Core M Broadwell CPU - the same thing that is used by Apple for its new MacBook.
Some insiders also claim that the Surface Pro 4 will come in two versions: one sporting a 12-inch version and another with a 14-inch display, reports Latinos Post.
Interestingly, the Surface Pro 4 is believed to be a genuine 2-in-1 device that incorporates Windows 10 tablet mode into a full version of the said OS.
Other rumors suggest the Surface Pro 4 could rock either a 4K display or a 2K display. In terms of memory, both versions will come in either 2GB RAM or 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in memory or 128GB internal storage.
Other features and specs remain unknown as of late, but several insiders already claim that the Surface Pro 4 will be the best hybrid from Microsoft so far.
Analysts are even expecting a major boost in the 2-in-1 device's sales. Shipments are already projected to exceed 15 million units this 2015 alone.
