Pretty Little Liars Season 6 [SPOILERS] Is Maya The Real ‘A?’ Exec Talks ‘Big A’ Ahead Of New Season Premiere

"Pretty Little Liars" is returning with its finale season, season 6, this June, and because of the shocking events in the finale of the previous season, many fans are now compelled to believe that the supposed-to-be-dead Maya is the one threatening the liars all this time. Could she be the real "A?"

Just a week ago, ABC Family dropped the first teaser trailer for the premiere episode of the returning hit series. In the promo clip, a hint that could possibly be pointing at Maya was dropped.

In the teaser, Aria (Lucy Hale) could be seen looking at a rather creepy note on the wall and it read: "He's going to kill me - M."

While this could easily lead fans to believe that Mona (Janel Parrish) was the one who made the writing, there is also a large number of viewers believing that "M" may stand for Maya, Emily's long-forgotten girlfriend.

It can be noted that Maya was believed to have died in the earlier seasons of the show. Emily even did an emotional goodbye to Bianca Lawson's character at the time.

During the finale of PLL's fifth season, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) mentioned Maya's name in :Welcome to the Dollhouse" and of course this quickly gave fans a hint that she could be alive all this time, especially that Maya's body wasn't shown inside the coffin in the past.

Executive Producer Oliver Goldstick recently sat down with TV Line to gush about Maya's possible comeback into the series and another explosive about "Big A."

"I think that's a word that would make 'A' perk up, just as it made you perk up," Goldstick said.

"Given Maya's history with the series --- she was sort of clued in by the end, possibly had some answers - it was not 'A' that killed her, but that doesn't mean 'A' didn't try," he added.

Goldstick also dropped some major spoiler when he confirmed that there's going to be a time jump in the upcoming season that is set to premiere on June 2.

"This is the same group of writers who have been here since day one, so a lot of the ideas that have been bandied about, even two or three years ago, are just now coming to fruition," Goldstick said.

We've had the writing on the wall - literally, on the board of our writers room - as to where these girls are going to end up. But we're surprising ourselves, too. There are some juicy developments that we didn't expect, which I think the audience is going to love," he said.
