Anomalies Rap Crew Calls Out Shia LaBeouf For Ripping Verses

Shia LaBeouf has done it again. A new look is not enough to put out old habits.

The actor, captured on video, shirtless, was freestyling pretty smoothly some lyrics for a bunch of people over the weekend, but was called out by rap group Anomolies for stealing some of the lines.

Anomalies' self-appointed representative, Pri the Honeydark, told Mashable that LaBeouf's last few performed lines, "I reckon you want more of that rare commodity, the quality is what it's got to be, and my philosophy is much farther than what your eyes can see," were taken to the letter from their 1999 track "Perfectionist."

Billboard reported that although Anomalies' "Perfectionist" was not a popular song, there were still some striking similarities to the lines used by the aspiring rap artist.

The Anomalies' crew further posted on Instagram a scathing comment chastening LaBeouf for trying to claim their music. She wrote, "Mr. Shia LaBeouf...You are re-activating my Battle MC inner being! You can't rip songs from my Anomalies crew, recite them in freestyle as your own, then not expect to be called out by ACTUAL MCs! I don't care WHO YOU ARE!...This is straight disrespect to lyricism," as reported by TIME.

Although at no point in the video the actor presented the rap as his own, this is not the first time the "Transformers" star was caught in the middle of a controversy involving stealing lines or better yet plagiarism. He was found to have copied a brief film called "Howard Cantour.com" as his directorial debut, from Daniel Clowes' "Justin M. Damiano," a graphic novel, without asking the author's permission and consent.

When called out for his action, he apologized on Twitter using yet again another item taken from Yahoo! Answers forum called "Why did Picasso say 'good artists copy but great artists steal?'"

Well, you be the judge!
