SPOILER ALERT: Wonder Woman Joins 'Batman v Superman' - Gal Gadot Talks New Heroine Role

The Amazonian superhero is being brought back to life. Wonder Woman is one of the DC characters joining the movie "Batman v Superman." It has been quite a while since we've see Wonder Woman in the big screen and Gal Gadot fits the role perfectly.

Gal Gadot described to Entertainment Weekly how she auditioned for the role of Wonder Woman. Gadot said, "I knew the role was big and it was for one of the franchises." Little is known about what role Wonder Woman is going to play in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Zack Snyder, the director of the film, said that Gadot's role is very vital.

Snyder told Cinema Blend that "she plays a super-important part. In a lot of ways, she's the gateway drug to the rest of the Justice League." This probably means that viewers are going to see more of her in the film.

So what does the 30-year-old Israeli actress think about her new role? ComingSoon.net reported that Gadot admittedly said that "there are so many expectations for this character" and that "it is impossible not to be a little nervous about it." Gadot also said, "I love doing the swordplay stuff.  It's another skill to add to my collection."

Gadot is going to be working closely with Ben Affleck, who plays the role of Batman, and Henry Cavill as Superman. Entertainment Weekly shared a photo of Gadot and Affleck in their alter egos — Diana Prince and Bruce Wayne. It seems that the two are seriously talking, but the question is do they really know who they're talking to? Will she also have the same interaction with Superman?

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" offers viewers a different take on superheroes. Fans can only imagine how the world is going to handle rivalries between superheroes.

The film is set for release on March 25, 2016.
