Apple To Manufacture 90M iPhone 6s With New Features By The End Of 2015

Apple, after selling 74.5 million of iPhones in the same quarter in 2014, is reportedly asking its suppliers to supply 80 million to 90 million units of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus — with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays by the end of 2015.

The new Apple iPhone 6s models are expected to have new features. One of which is the Force Touch, a technology that allows the touch screens or pads to identify the difference between a hard press and light tap, according to a 9to5mac report.

Apple initially introduced this feature with Apple Watch and redesigned MacBook. The initial production of iPhones with this technology has started last month, NDTV Gadgets learned.

The change on the brand new models will be happening internally rather than externally. Apple A9 processor and advancement on camera sensors are likely to be incorporated in the new iPhones.

In comparison with the iPhone 6, Apple's iPhone 6s will have improved focusing on camera, internal component enhancements and new pressure sensitivity. The looks of both phones are expected to be almost the same, except for the case color.

A shade of pink or a rose gold will be added to the existing silver, space grey and gold, according to some reports.

Despite the new features, the multinational technology company is expected to retain the screen resolutions.

Apple already has Foxconn Technology Group and Pegatron Corp. as assemblers, but additional hands may be required because of the demands for more units. This is precisely the reason why the Taiwan-based company, Wistron Corp. — which was tapped by Apple to build the plastic iPhone 5C released in 2013 — is being considered as its third assembler, International Business Times reported.

So when will the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus hit the market?

There are no official statements from the company yet. However, if the release trend over the recent years is considered, it's more likely that the phone will be released in September.
