‘American Horror Story’ Stars Emma Roberts And Evan Peters Awkwardly REUNITES At Comic-Con After Engagement Cancellation In June

Ex-lovers Emma Roberts and Evan Peters had an inevitable reunion at Comic-Con 2015 when they attended the "American Horror Story" and "Scream Queens" panel in San Diego, California. The discommodious meeting came after their engagement cancellation in June.

There is really nothing more awkward thn meeting an ex post-split! And that's just what happened to once-engaged couple Emma Roberts and Evan Peters. In June, the "American Horror Story" stars made headlines after news about their breakup circulated. Roberts and Peters were on a three-year courtship and six-month engagement before calling it off last month.

"Their three years together just ran its course," a source said, Daily Mail quoted. "They have so many great memories together but couldn't make it work in the end. [But] there was no drama whatsoever."

It was also reported that 24-year-old Emma Roberts and 28-year-old Evan Peters broke up amicably. However, their relationship was once bombarded by controversies after Roberts was taken into custody in Montreal after a fight with Evans became too physical that resulted to the latter sustaining injuries. Following the 2013 incident, the couple reconciled and appeared much in love while filming their series, "American Horror Story" Season 3, in which they play love interests.

Meanwhile, in line with the Comic-Con event, "American Horror Story" showrunner Ryan Murphy hinted that exes Emma Roberts and Evan Peters will have a special participation in the later episodes of the fifth season of the horror series.

"She comes at the end, and she has a great thing with Evan Peters at the end," Murphy told Us Weekly. "Emma's going to do a fun thing at the end with Evan. That's all I can say."

Aside from "AHS," Roberts will also be starring in Murphy's upcoming horror-comedy series "Scream Queens," which will debut on Sept. 22 on FOX. As per People, the series will also feature "Glee" alum Lea Michele, Jamie Lee Curtis, Abigail Breslin and Keke Palmer.

Despite the awkwardness of their Comic-Con meeting, Emma Roberts and Evan Peters seemed okay while attending the panel. And though a reconciliation is out of the question as of the moment, fans can still see them together again in "American Horror Story: Hotel" when it airs this fall on FX.
