‘Batman V Superman’ News UPDATE: Tao Okamoto Joins ‘Dawn of Justice’ Cast; Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent Suit Up

The rumors about a new cast member joining "Batman V Superman" are true! Tao Okamoto has been confirmed to join the "Dawn of Justice," playing as Mercy Graves, according to Comingsoon.net.

For those who are not familiar with the latest addition to DC's movie, the character of Graves is traditionally the bodyguard and personal assistant of Lex Luthor, who will be played by Jesse Eisenberg in "Batman V Superman." Graves' first appearance was in the 1996 "Superman: The Animated Series."

Graves, who was later on brought to DC comics, influenced the character of Tess Mercer — a combination of Mercy from "Superman: The Movie and Eve Tessmacher. Mercer is a character from Cassidy Freeman's "Smallville."

Okamoto, before landing the role in "Batman V Superman," was known as Mariko Yashida from the movie "The Wolverine," Den of Geek has learned. She also appeared on NBC's "Hannibal."

Interestingly, before this Japanese beauty got herself into acting, she was a model. She started as early as 14, but now she has gone a long way by modelling for Alexander McQueen, Burberry Prorsum, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Hermès and many more.

A year after from her debut in Marvel's Wolverine spin-off film, she landed the role of Toko Sakagami in Japan's "mini series, Chi no Wadachi." Two years later, she crosses over to DC.

Meanwhile, photos and images play a big part in promoting "Batman V Superman." Earlier, Empire flaunted Batman and Superman in their superhero costume on its front page.

Apparently, a new image — this time — of Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne in suits emerged. Coming from the Empire's cover story for this month's edition, this new image shows both superheroes standing looking rather serious, with Gotham and Metropolis in the background, the Comic Book reported.

Can't wait for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?" The movie hits theaters March 25, 2016.

"Batman V Superman" will star Henry Cavill, playing the role of Clark Kent or Superman, and Ben Affleck, as Bruce Wayne or Batman. The "Dawn of Justice" will also star Gal Gadot as Diana Prince or Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
