‘Batman V Superman’ Still Shrouded In Mystery Despite Reports, Rumors & Leaks

The hype over "Batman V Superman" is just never-ending despite the fact that the makers of the "Dawn of Justice" flick give only scarce details about the highly anticipated Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill starrer.

Much of the details about the upcoming "Batman V Superman" movie have been strategically kept under wraps, so the curiosity and appetite of fans for the action-packed film will continue to rise until its official release date on March 25, 2016.

This week, Scoot McNairy was put under the spotlight after speculations and rumors about the character his is playing ran amuck online. SlashFilm reported that the initial rumors about McNairy playing Jimmy Olsen could be true after all.

Last summer, rumors about McNairy playing Olsen surfaced when he was photographed sporting bright green socks for some CGI work. As per early speculations, Olsen may have been injured amid the battle between Superman and Zod, which may have apparently caused him his legs.

If the rumors were true, then McNairy could play a very important role in Superman's storyline. Warner Bros. has yet to confirm this of course, so fans should just wait for official announcements.

So far, what's been official are the lineup of actors appearing in the anticipated blockbuster film aside from Affleck and Cavill. They are Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Jeremy Irons (Alfred J. Pennyworth), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White).

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, director Zack Snyder dropped a on-set photo on his Instagram account, which is unfortunately a private account. Nevertheless, Batman-News managed to obtain a copy of the snap, which can be viewed here.

The photo shows Ben Affleck's Batman walking through the fields, and as per sources, this is a raw snap of the filming of a scene wherein Bruce Wayne is visiting the CGI-made, abandoned Wayne Manor.

Since the flick will center on the fight between Batman and Superman, many have speak out on who they think is deserving to win this battle, according to IGN.

Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee recently opined that the Man of Steel should be winner, saying, He's indestructible, he can do anything. And Batman relies on a few weapons. If this is real, a fight between Superman and Batman, there's no way you'd bet on Batman."

What do you think of Lee's opinion? Are you Team Batman or Team Superman? Sound off below.
