‘Dragon Ball Z NEWS’: Voice Actors Meet Japanese Counterparts, Talk About Their Characters; ‘Resurrection F’ Entertaining Even For Non-DBZ Fans

"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" gave the opportunity not just for the fans, but also the creators and actors, to revisit the series and its characters. Before the 19th film franchise hit theaters, English voice actors had a chance to meet with their Japanese counterparts to share their views about the characters they are portraying.

Christopher Sabat, who has voiced over the character of Vegeta, said that they had the chance to be involved in the whole creative process. The Comic Book learned that Sabat personally loves his character.

Sabat said that when they started dubbing "Dragon Ball Z," they were kind of just guessing. According to him, internet access was hard, there was no Wikipedia and there weren't a lot of fan subs, so there was scarcity in information.

His enthusiasm over Vegeta's character was part of the continuous learning about it and the characters played by the other cast of the show. Recently, they had a chance to meet Japanese counterparts.

At the gathering, they had the opportunity to share their views and individual interpretation of the characters, according to Voice Over Herald. Sabat said that it helped them do better in their voice acting for the new movie.

Sean Schemmel, who was voicing over Goku, also had the chance to meet Masako Nozawa. Sabat and Schemmel excitedly talked about the excellent voice acting of Chris Ayers as Frieza during their interview with the Movie Pilot.

"Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" is now in theaters for a limited showing from Aug. 4-12. The "DBZ" franchise has hugely expanded with almost everybody loving this anime, but it's understandable if there are some who are not following the series.

For those who don't really watch the "Dragon Ball Z" series, but are curious how the film is, an article from Sun Current stated that even if the viewer doesn't have a knowledge of the characters and the plot of the story, the movie is still enjoyable.

The review stated that the "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" animation was solid and there was enough action in the film. It further said that it was entertaining all throughout.
