Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' relationship seemed to be a match made in heaven. But recently, they have been bombarded with marriage troubles and infidelity speculations. Now, Pratt's wife has finally opened up about her husband's apparent two-timing trysts.
In response to Star magazine's reports about Chris Pratt's cheating and extramarital relations with his "Passengers" costar Jennifer Lawrence, wife Anna Faris addressed the issue. She also admitted that the gossips have upset her, The Sunday Morning Herald noted.
"I had always kind of believed that part of the rumors of celebrity couples were sort of true because they had never been part of my life," the 38-year-old mom-of-one said. "I was like, 'Oh, maybe there's a kernel of truth to that.' It's been a little devastating because for us, it's like, 'What the heck?'"
In Star magazine's report, the tabloid claimed that Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' relationship was "hitting the skids" because of Pratt's fast-rising career. According to Today, the publication also claimed that Farris went into panic after learning of her husband's interactions with Lawrence. However, the reports didn't cite sources by name.
"This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging," Faris confessed. "[It] stung a little bit harder than I thought it would."
Chris Pratt and Anna Faris, who both have a great sense of humor, met in 2007 on the set of their movie "Take Me Home Tonight." They tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their son Jack in 2012. This is Pratt's first marriage. Faris, on the other hand, was previously married to actor Benjamin Indra. But their relationship ended in March 2007 after almost three years of marital bliss. Her divorce was finalized in February 2008, Newsday revealed.
Meanwhile, Chris Pratt is currently filming the remake of "The Magnificent Seven" in Louisiana. Despite the cheating rumors, Pratt and wife Anna Faris were publicly seen as a happy couple with a united front.
"I am very lucky that I am with a man [who] values family," Faris said. Pratt told ET Online earlier this year that they make their relationship work in spite of their busy schedules.
"The way we work it out is we just take at least one moment every day to be present with one another," Pratt said. "Whether or not we're in the same room, or the same state, or even the same country, we check in, you know?"
