Joy Behar Returns To 'The View' Season 19; Official Powerhouse Cast Revealed!


Joy Behar is set to return to ABC's daytime talkshow "The View" Season 19. Meanwhile, some well-known celebrities will be joining her as well on the show.

ABC announced the show's reboot and revealed Behar's return on Tuesday, ABC57 reported. Joining her will be "Full House" star Candance Cameron-Bure and "Good Morning America Weekend" co-anchor Paula Faris.

Notably, Behar will return as a co-host after she departed from the show in 2013. The 72-year old host was one of the show's pioneers since its television premiere 2 decades ago. Behar, together with Barbara Walters, were known to be the "most outspoken hosts" in the show's history.

"Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in. I'm looking forward to sticking my two cents into the hot topics, especially now that Hillary and the Donald are in the spotlight," Behar said in a statement.

Meanwhile, here are some information about the additional cast: Cameron-Bure, aside from ther role as DJ Tanner on the television sitcom "Full House," will be reprising her character as well for its upcoming spinoff "Fuller House," Cinema Blend noted.

Meanwhile, Paula Faris is a known news correspondent. Apart from "Good Morning America Weekend," she is also one of the news anchor for "World News Now" and "America This Morning" on ABC.

Aside from them, Sherri Sheperd, Padma Lakshmi, Molly Sims and Ana Navarro are said to be joining the talkshow as well.

As for the show's revamp, "The View" Season 19 is said to be aligned with CBS's "The Talk" to reportedly compete for the ratings, according to The Chicago Tribune. They also noted that the change in its format and additional cast aims on broadening and widening the target audience.
