Swedish Model Agnes Hedengard Blasts Fashion Industry, Answers Via YouTube And Instagram About Being 'Too Big' [Photos]

Swedish model Agnes Hedengard reportedly blasted the fashion industry through her YouTube video to address the issue that she is allegedly "too big" for runway. Aside from video, she took on Instagram her statement as well. Let find out how as this story unfolds.

The 19-year old model was reportedly labeled as not being qualified to be a runway model, People noted. The video shows Hedengard wearing a two-piece bikini, standing in front of a mirror. Hedengard explained why she is having difficulties finding a career despite of her good looks and slim body.

"I have worked as a model for about five years now, but up to this day I don't get any more jobs since the industry thinks I'm too big. They think this is too big," she said.

Notably, she stands 5' 11" and has a body mass index of 17.5. Given the ratio of her height and weight, The National Institutes of Health might consider her as "underweight." However, Hedengard told news.com.au that "they think my butt is too big and they think my hips are too wide."

The Swede also said that some agencies and clients were about to book her, but they often change their minds after discovering her statistics.

The model told The Independent that, "They are like 'no, she's too big, she needs to get into better shape, we won't work with her'. My purpose of this video is to show everyone that a big part of the modelling industry thinks this is too big. It's absurd and I hate it, and I just want other people to see this."

Her aim for sharing her video is to reveal some "absurd" modelling standards, which force models to have a size zero figure to be qualified as beautiful in the industry.

Aside from the clip, she also posted a statement on her Instagram account:
