1. On Why Davis Picked Cisely Tyson For a Role
Playing "Ophelia Harkness," mother of lead character Annalise Keating, Davis said she picked Tyson to play as her mom because the role was appropriate for her age, she had a great work ethic and her skin tone complemented one another.
According to Design&Trend, Davis also revealed that Tyson was one of the reasons she pursued an acting career.
2. Annalise Keating's Infamous Make-up Scene
Everyone's collective jaws dropped when Davis' character suddenly removed her wig and wiped away her make-up as Annalise Keating.
As reported by Deadline, Davis' stated that she was the one who insisted on the scene, saying, "I don't know how to work if I don't have input and I think [creator] Pete Nowalk has been great in understanding the power of collaboration, that's it's not taking away from his power, but just adding to it."
Davis also shared that a lot of mysteries and questions will be answered.
3. How Rebecca's murder Will Affect The Show
Pete Nowalk, showrunner for the said TV series revealed to Hollywood Reporter that the character "Rebecca" will greatly affect the course of the show.
"It doesn't go away. Just like anything in our show, I don't want anything to be forgotten. Just like Sam's murder, Lila's murder — yes they're dead, but the consequences of that continue to reverberate. The same is going to happen with Rebecca. Some people will know she's dead; some people will know who killed her; some people will think she's missing. She plays a big part in season two, even though she's dead," he said.
The fans of the show are definitely excited for the upcoming season, and for all the right reasons as Viola Davis declared that the hit TV series will kick off with a bang.
