‘Elementary’ Season 4 SHOCKER: Spoilers, Plot Rumors & New Characters

"Elementary's" Sherlock Holmes ended on a low point last season as his father, Morland, is coming to New York City after he finds out that Sherlock has succumbed to his drug addiction.

John Lee Miller, who plays Sherlock Holmes, delivered a memorable performance in last season's finale. Forced to cooperate with his former drug dealer to rescue his friend, the private investigator succumbed to temptations and once again, dabbled in drugs.

Fans may remember that Morland, played by John Noble, is not exactly a good father to Sherlock and having him in New York isn't going to be pleasant for the detective.

According to a report by the Christian Post, series executive producer Rob Doherty said that, "Once he arrives, Sherlock does not appreciate the attention or the distraction that his dad represents," and further added, "For him, it's too little too late. This is a father and a son with a very complicated history. I'd say for at least a couple decades, Sherlock's father has been out of sight, out of mind. This is going to be a big adjustment for Sherlock to have dad nearby."

Sherlock isn't the only who's unhappy with his arrival however, as Joan, played by actress Lucy Liu, reportedly caused friction the first time she met Morland. But it looks like he is here to stay as, his actor, Noble, is joining the show as a series regular.

Apart from Noble portraying Morland, Shoreh Aghdashloo is also set to join the cast of "Elementary" season 4 as reported by the Times Reporter.

Her character, Donya Esfandiari, is an international hotelier that's in negotiations with Sherlock's father. According to TVLine, her character will make its debut on Episode 3.

Catch the latest season of "Elementary" when it debuts its first episode on November 5, 2015, Thursday night at CBS.
