‘James Bond’s’ 24th Film ‘Spectre’ May Be Actor Daniel Craig’s Last?

"James Bond," one of the most successful action franchises of all time will release its 24th film, "Spectre."

Daniel Craig, the actor currently playing James Bond, is doing a critically acclaimed portrayal of the character based on the reception of the movies. However in recent months, there have been speculations that "Spectre" may be Craig's last Bond film.

Asked if Craig would be open to making another film as agent 007, he responded: "At this moment, no. I have a life and I've got to get on with it a bit. But we'll see," Cinema Blend has learned.

Craig's take on the Bond character was seen as refreshing. Featuring a darker and grittier tone, the three movies featuring him has been a major success — with his last, "Skyfall," earning $1.1 billion at the box office making it the most successful British film ever.

As reported by Forbes, Craig expressed his doubts of playing Bond for one more time. However, his doubts may now be long gone as the production has already wrapped up filming.

Apart from the "James Bond" movies, Craig also stars in a myriad of other films such as "A Golden Compass," "The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo" and "Cowboys and Aliens."

According to the Christian Post, it has been confirmed that the sale of tickets for "Spectre" will start on Sept. 7. As early as 7 a.m., fans may purchase their tickets online that will allow them to watch the film for the first time, the same night it premieres in London.

The synopsis of movie reads "A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond (Daniel Craig) on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), and the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as Spectre."

"Spectre" is once again helmed by "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes and is slated for a London premiere on Oct. 26, 2015.
