Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Business-Centric But Also Good For Entertainment Thanks To Skylake Processors, Other Specs & Features

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is the highly anticipated release from Microsoft this year, following the success of its predecessor in the market. There are many reasons why this device is getting a lot of attention, but the top one could be the fact that it's made to be versatile in terms of being a business-centric device that is capable of delivering high quality entertainment.

According to International Business Times, from the get-go, Microsoft's line of tablet-laptop hybrids were designed for both business and entertainment needs. However, this goal will be best realized in the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 that comes with a more improved stylus.

Apart from its unrivalled note-taking capability, the Surface Pro 4 also boasts a number of goodies that other alternative hybrids fail to offer in the market. The upcoming iteration is expected to be the most fluid in the Surface line due to the presence of Intel's fifth-generation Skylake processors that have three configurations: Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7. With this, the device is said to be a major upgrade from its predecessors in terms of efficiency.

The successor to the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is also expected to get more reception upon its release since it has a competitive build, software and hardware-wise, that it can go head-to-head with Apple's MacBook Air. As per CNET, the Surface Pro 4 will not experience drastic changes on its build; hence, it could still be a laptop hybrid that's lighter and thinner than the Macbook Air.

This year's release is also expected to come in two versions: a 12-inch Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and a 14-inch version. The larger variant is seen as a rival of Apple's upcoming iPad Pro, which is also expected to hit the market this fall. The larger Surface Pro 4 is also seen as Microsoft's way of making the most out of Windows 10's updated features and gesture controls.

Other specs and features of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 include the 4GB to 16GB RAM configurations, the internal memory of 128GB to 1TB, a high resolution display of 2,160 x 1,440 pixels, a USB type-C port and a much bigger battery size for better longevity than the Surface Pro 3, as per Realty Today
