'Hey Arnold!' Set To Return On Nickelodeon? Network Executive Announced Plan For Classic Shows Comeback

"Hey Arnold!" fans are going to be glad as Nickelodeon just announced that it is looking to revive some of its classic shows.

With a recent resurgence for all things '90s, it seems that Nickelodeon is trying to capitalize on it by reviving shows such as "Hey Arnold," "Rugrats," and "Ren and Stimpy."

"We are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way," Russell Hicks, Nick's president of content and development, announced.

As reported by Slash Film, the Nickelodeon revival news is still unclear on what those "fresh new ways" might be. Its worthy of note that a revival wouldn't necessarily mean a new series as it could also be presented as a movie or one-time special.

As told by Variety, the Viacom-owned youth network rose to popularity with programs like "The Adventures of Pete & Pete," "Double Dare," and "Kablam!" among others, which is why Hicks is looking to revive some of its most famous shows.

Included in the plan, Nick aims to release retooled versions that include "Rugrats," "Hey Arnold!," and even the recently concluded, "Victorious."

Reports are saying that the revival has already begun as Kel Mitchell, co-star of the hit Nickelodeon series "Kenan & Kel," has already a role in the new show, "Game Shakers."

Nickelodeon's executive Russel Hicks, however, did not exactly specify which shows the network are reviving NME has learned. But according to hints provided by Hicks, it would likely be those well-loved series mentioned above.

Nostalgia is truly in the air and older fans of the said hit TV series are more than excited for this announcement made by Nick.

With the '90s revival on full steam, TV shows that both kids and kids at heart are about to arrive for you to enjoy.
