Stephen Curry has topped this year with his achievements. Aside from leading his team, the Golden State Warriors, toward winning the championship after 40 years, he also grabbed the 2014-2015 NBA Most Valuable Player awards.
Curry's personal life is becoming public as his name gets famous. People may now know a lot of things about the 27-year-old basketball star, but there might be a few missed facts.
So here are five things about the Warriors guard that you may not know.
1. Curry got recently schooled by kids.
Curry just finished his five cities in five days Under Amour Tour in Asia. When he was visiting the Philippines, he played a 1-on-1 game with a 7-year-old boy but unfortunately, he failed to block him.
History seems to repeat itself because the same thing happened when he landed in China. Detroit Free Press showed a video of a 12-year-old girl challenging him, and yes, she scored against the MVP too.
2. He is from a family of athletes.
Curry is the son of Wardell Stephen Curry I, a former NBA athlete who used to play for Charlotte Hornets, and Sonya Curry, who was a Division I volleyball star.
His brother Seth also went for a professional basketball career after starring in Duke University, and just like their mother, his sister Sydel became a volleyball player at Elon University, according to Bio.
3. He has a talent in dancing.
Curry unleashed his dancing talent when he visited the Philippines, and as a proof, one Filipino fan posted a video of the NBA superstar doing the "Nae Nae." Time learned that he was trying to copy his daughter's, Riley, moves.
4. He played golf with the President of the United States.
"Never in a million years did I think I'd join the president on his vacation in Martha's Vineyard and spend five hours with him playing golf," Curry said during an interview with Sports Illustrated.
5. His third best sports is bowling.
In the same interview, Curry revealed that he used to play baseball when he was growing up. However, he said that he could do more damage on the lanes.
