A Glimpse Into Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Net Worth After Taking Donald Trump’s Job As Newest ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ Host

Arnold Schwarzenegger, a veteran actor who has amassed a net worth of $300 million, is reportedly replacing Donald Trump as the new host of "The Celebrity Apprentice." The announcement was made Monday by NBC and network officials said the former California governor will assume the post during the reality show's 2016-2017 television season. However, no specific date has been announced.

With his political credential and net worth value, Arnold Schwarzenegger seemed to have qualified him as an ideal replacement for business tycoon Donald Trump. Having served two terms as California's governor, the 68-year-old actor had managed more than 300,000 state employees and hundreds of billions for a state budget. Hence, he fits the bill of being the next "The Celebrity Apprentice" host, Sydney Morning Herald noted.

"[Schwarzenegger] is the epitome of a global brand in entertainment and business, and his accomplishments in the political arena speak for themselves," NBC's head of alternative programming Paul Telegdy said.

While derogatory comments on immigrants won't be a problem for Arnold Schwarzenegger, he is as controversial as the real estate mogul-turned-political hopeful, Donald Trump. According to Los Angeles Times, his complicated history with the opposite sex and his much-publicized affair with a housekeeper that resulted to an illegitimate child have ruined his political career.

Meanwhile, "The Celebrity Apprentice" executive producer Mark Burnett revealed that Donald Trump gave his blessing to hire Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose $300 million net worth is listed by The Richest.

"Donald made it clear that he wanted 'The Celebrity Apprentice' to continue to raise millions of dollars annually for worthy causes," Burnett said in a statement, as per New York Daily News. "Gov. Schwarzenegger will ... drive this hit franchise to new heights."

Arnold Schwarzenegger's upcoming "The Celebrity Apprentice" stint came after NBC terminated its business relationship to Donald Trump due to his insulting remarks about immigrants earlier this year.

"Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump," the studio said in July.

As for Arnold Schwarzenegger, who became a real estate millionaire at the age of 25 as Celebrity Net Worth revealed, he expressed his excitement over the show since he was such a big fan of it.

"I have always been a huge fan of 'The Celebrity Apprentice' and the way it showcases the challenges and triumphs of business and teamwork," he said in a statement. "I am thrilled to bring my experience to the boardroom and to continue to raise millions for charity."

Despite not being a billionaire like Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger's $300 million net worth proves that he was as successful as Trump when it comes to real estate investments, which highly influenced his current net earnings status.
