‘Bones’ Season 11: 3 Things ‘Sick’ David Boreanaz Starrer Fans Should Watch Out For This Fall Season!

"Bones" Season 11 is just weeks away from premiering, and show fans are already looking for clues on what they can expect when the David Boreanaz starrer returns to Fox this fall season. Below are three spoilers from the upcoming season.

1. Booth goes missing during the premiere episode

Sorry guys and girls, but Booth will go missing when "Bones" Season 11 airs its pilot episode. Before loyal viewers could even point their fingers at Christopher Pelant, however, showrunner Michael Peterson has clarified that the serial killer has nothing to do with Booth's disappearance. Peterson told TV Line that it has something to do with Booth's family and that things will be resolved in the second episode.

Nevertheless, he also admitted that the event will have an impact on the series from that time on. And if fans are thinking of marital woes between Booth and Brennan, Peterson only has this to say, "They're still in the same house when we open the season."

In reality, Booth's disappearance has something to do with lead actor David Boreanaz's health crisis. The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum is reportedly battling a mysterious illness, according to Radar Online. But it's good that the actor has bounced back. Thus, fans will get to see him on the show in the second episode.

2. A crossover between "Bones" and "Sleepy Hollow"

It has long been confirmed that the Jeffersonian team could be visiting Ichabod Crane's realm. Boreanaz even took the time to tease fans about on Tuesday when he took to Twitter to share a snap of "Sleepy Hollow" Season 3's script. The actor playfully teased about the crossover by captioning the snap "What the?? This is not our show" and putting the hashtags #CrossOver and #Welcome as part of his post.

Actress Tamara Taylor, who plays Forensic Division head Dr. Camille Saroyan, also gushed about the crossover between the two shows this fall, and according to her the episode is "going to be interesting."

She then added, "From what I hear, it'll be the Halloween episode which makes sense. "We can suspend reality and have that mash-up work. Otherwise, I think it's two different worlds. I was surprised when I first read [it was in the works], but knowing it's the Halloween episode, that makes a little more sense," as quoted by Give Me My Remote.

3. The introduction of Dr. Beth Mayer

Apart from disappearances and crossovers, "Bones" Season 11 has also prepared a special treat for its fans by guest starring Betty White into the show. White is reportedly playing Dr. Beth mayer who happens to be the Jeffersonian team's latest squintern.

TV Line describes White's character as "an accomplished, sharp as a tack squintern who is brought in to assist in a murder linked to fantasy football — which just happens to be one of her many areas of expertise." White's character will be a big competition to Brennan since the former is known to be the most experienced forensic anthropologist in the world.

On the show's official Facebook page, teaser photos of Betty White's guest appearance have been shared to the delight of fans. White, who is also active on social media, also shared the news about her guesting on the series on her Instagram account.

A week ago, she shared a photo of her along with Emily Deschanel a Boreanaz. She captioned the snap "Great first day on the set of #Bones!"
