Is Priyanka Chopra dating? The "Quantico" star that is taking the world by storm is turning heads lately not only because she's talented, but she is also easy on the eyes. Hence, many are wondering if the Miss World 2000 cum actress is seeing someone romantically. Meet three men who reportedly shared a romantic relationship with Chopra.
1. Aseem Merchant
Aseem Merchant is reportedly Priyanka's first boyfriend when she began her career in modelling. However, Chopra and Merchant broke up after the former won Miss World back in 2000. Both have been mum about each other since until recently when Aseem revealed that he is making a biopic entitled "67 Days," which chronicles the story of Priyanka's business manager and ex-secretary Prakash Jaju with the beauty queen and her late father. The title is said to refer to the number of days Jaju stayed in jail after threatening Chopra, as per NewsEastWest.
Priyanka has opened up about the her actor-turned-producer ex's project in May 2014 and she said that she does not mind having a biopic touching her life, but she wanted it to be done when she's already 40. "I don't think I have become so big that people would make a film on me. There are a lot of things that I still need to achieve. Maybe when I turn 40, people can decide to make a film, because I am sure I will achieve whatever I want to by that age," Chopra was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.
Nevertheless, Chopra's ex maintained that he was not backing out of the project in a June 2014 interview with BollywoodLife. "We don't succumb to such pressure tactics. We are going ahead with the project. We've replied to her legal notice," Merchant said at the time.
2. Harman Baweja
According to FamousFix, Priyanka Chopra also dated Harman Baweja. If anything, it was not just dating, for the two celebs shared a romantic relationship for five years. They even starred alongside each other in "Love Story 2050," which unfortunately didn't get a lot of reception.
Priyanka and Harman broke up in 2009 to the disappointment of their fans. However, Maweja assured everyone that the two of them were on good terms when he did an interview with Subhash K Jha, as reported by SantaBanta.com. Baweja also admitted fresh from their breakup and during his 29th birthday that he was the one to blame for their falling out of love. "I blame myself. She kept asking me to give her time but I didn't. I couldn't. After two flops, I felt a lot of pressure to do well in my third film. I got too engrossed in it. I got too close to the project. Too involved," he was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla.
3. Shahid Kapoor
Perhaps the most controversial relationship Priyanka Chopra had was with Shahid Kapoor, who was allegedly the reason why Chopra and Baweja split. Priyanka and Shahid further intensified dating rumors when Kapoor was seen in Copra's apartment when Income Tax officials raided the actress' place in 2011. Mid-Day even noted that Kapoor was only wearing shorts at the time and he left after he got dressed.
Kapoor and Chopra have since downplayed the dating rumors. In January 2010, Kapoor inisted that he was not seeing anyone else. "I am very much single, available and definitely ready to mingle...And I want to clarify that I am not dating Priyanka Chopra or anybody else!" he said at the time. But, Priyanka eventually admitted that she was once Shahid's girlfriend, NewsEastWest has learned.
At present, Kapoor is married to Mira Rajput. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is now wary of the media and the public's eye when it comes to her dating exploits. In March, Chopra said, "Who I'm seeing is for me to know and for you to find out! But serious, though, I prefer not to talk about it because of that privacy I mentioned. I quite like it, and the minute you say anything, it's this huge spectacle for people to discuss... Which I guess they do anyway!"
As quoted by Miss Malini, Chopra added, "You hear one link-up rumor after another, and they're so ridiculous! I'd rather not feed that absurd randomness.
