Cristiano Ronaldo To Ditch Real Madrid Next Summer For Manchester United’s Almost $140 Million Offer? Paris St Germain Also Vie For Portuguese Football Superstar’s Attention

Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to have set the football world on fire as three teams vie for his attention to be their next superstar. Since Ronaldo is reportedly ready to face new challenges next summer, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris St Germain are on red alert for an overpriced competition to sign the double Ballon d'Or champ.

After seven years on Real Madrid and his then world record $124 million (£80 million) move from United in 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo is allegedly leaving the Bernabeu next summer. However, Manchester United are desperate to bring the Portuguese player back to Old Trafford while Paris St Germain are also willing to pay the high asking price just to sign him in, Daily Mirror reported.

Speaking of asking price, Real Madrid allegedly wanted a new world record fee of almost $140 million (£90 million) for Cristiano Ronaldo next summer. Considering his phenomenal scoring record and global status, the hefty payout is believed to be right. However, sources close to Ronaldo's camp expected a more realistic figure which would be around the $108 million (£70 million).

Meanwhile, this wasn't the first time for Manchester United to lure Cristiano Ronaldo back to the team since his Real Madrid transfer. In fact, this is their third time. For Paris St Germain Red Devils, on the other hand, the team is willing to meet Ronaldo's £15 million per year salary demands, on top of the fee, considering the commercial revenue his return would generate. And with influence on the pitch, the 30-year-old Portuguese football superstar would more than offset such an enormous expenditure.

In other news, Lionel Messi has already scored twice as Barcelona defeated Levante in a 4-1 score. Cristiano Ronaldo, however, had a frustrating day since he could not find the net in Real Madrid's 1-0 win over Granada, ESPN noted.

During the game, Cristiano Ronaldo was unable to add more goals to his already existing five league goals. While he took a total of eight goal attempts, he couldn't score any of them. According to the Bleacher Report, it seems that Ronaldo will have to be patient in trying to break another record. Currently, he's on 321 goals for Real Madrid, the Portuguese trails legendary striker and former skipper Raul on the club's all-time list by only two. Amazingly, Ronaldo has played 436 games fewer than the Spaniard did.
