“Empire” Season 2 Episode 1 premiere features a bevy of guest stars who will join the Lyons. The list includes Tyra Ferrell (Roxanne Ford), Kelly Rowland (Leah Walker), Swiss Beatz, Petey Pablo, Al Sharpton, Chris Rock (Frank Gathers), Marissa Tomei (Mimi Whiteman), Andre Leon Talley and Don Lemon.
TV Guide has learned “Empire” Season 2 Episode 1 premiere begins three months after Lucious Lyons’ (Terrence Howard) arrest and incarceration. Despite being inside federal prison, he was still calling the shots within Empire Entertainment.
Meanwhile, a media hungry state prosecutor hangs her political aspirations on bringing Empire’s top honcho down. Ex- wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) organizes a star-studded concert in support of Lucious, alongside she’s plotting with her sons, Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) and Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Gray), Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey) and Mimi Whiteman (guest star Marissa Tomei) to wrap up the hostile seizure of Empire Entertainment.
In the latest promo trailer for “Empire” Season 2 Episode 1, TV Fanatic reported Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) looked like he was giving the orders in the company now that his father, Lucious, is behind bars. Judging by the way he’s seen storming in those doors, he might be. Hakeem was also seen smacking something out of his brother’s hand when they were arguing. Was he probably jealous about his brother’s new position? Also Jamal spends a lot of time with Lucious. Never saw that coming, did you? Well, he might be fooling his dad, who knows.
On the other hand, things may not be working out well for Lucious Lyon inside prison because he announced that he needs to be free ASAP.
