In less than a week, Fox's most loved Jeffersonian couple, Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are coming back for "Bones" Season 11 with new and exciting crime-busting adventures. Since the 11th season might be the series finale, fans can expect more interesting twists to unfold.
While "Bones" Season 10 brought an emotional turn for all the fans after Booth and Brennan's departure from the Jeffersonian to start their lives anew, a new case will bring the couple in "Bones" Season 11. However, their return won't happen immediately.
With the upcoming premiere of "Bones" Season 11, here are 5 exciting things you need to know about latest adventures of FOX's Jeffersonian couple.
1. Six-month time-jump and a new baby
"Bones" Season 11 will have a six-month time jump from the previous season's episode 22 finale. Since the crime-fighting couple has given up their careers in the Jeffersonian Institution, fans will find Booth and Brennan living peacefully with their new baby and non-dangerous job positions. But what's interesting is their son will make Booth "duck and cover," TV Fanatic noted.
2. A "pivotal-ish" death
A dead body, which had been burned beyond recognition, will turn up in "Bones" Season 11 that will have a very close link to one of the main characters in the series. While details are still kept under wraps, rumors have it that it could be Seeley Booth's brother, Jared. As Design & Trend reported, Jared's wife, will be seen in the upcoming season premiere. So far, there has been no casting news of Jared Booth.
3. Cam and Arastoo's relationship in trouble while an engagement ring is floating around?
While Cam and Arastoo are no strangers to relationship crisis, some problems will arise in "Bones" Season 11 that might affect their romance. In the six months of Brennan's retirement, Arastoo has been taking over her responsibilities. Therefore Cam decides to offer him a promotion to fill in Brennan's position officially, However, Brennan's comeback sparks troubles between the couple.
"With everything [that happens] in the first two episodes, it's going to be a challenge for their [Cam and Arastoo's] relationship," EP Michael Peterson told TVLine.
There's also an engagement ring floating around. But fans need to stick around to know who the owner of the said ring is.
4. "Bones" Season 11 Episode 1 and 2 titles and synopsis
The pilot episode is entitled "The Loyalty in the Lie" and will revolve around deception and lies. While the second episode is named "The Brother in the Basement," as per Latin Post.
"Another layer is added to the mystery of Booth's whereabouts and the state of his physical condition when the team learns that FBI Agent Miller (guest star Kim Raver) has not been entirely truthful with the FBI and the Jeffersonian, keeping vital information from them that could lead them to Booth," Season 11 Episode 2 synopsis snippet read. 5. "Bones"-"Sleepy Hollow" Crossover
"Bones" Season 11 will feature a "Sleepy Hollow" crossover as some characters from the latter will appear in one episode of the former and vice versa, Christian Post revealed. This crossover is going to air on Oct. 29, Thursday at 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, "Bones" Season 11 returns on FOX on Oct. 1, Thursday at 8 p.m.
