‘Fifty Shades Darker’ [RUMORS]: No Hope For Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson’s Erotic Movie Sequel? Fans Disappointed Over Repeated Production Delays

"Fifty Shades Darker" fans are disappointed again after news broke out that the production of the upcoming "Fifty Shades" sequel has been repeatedly delayed. While its predecessor became the talk-of-the-town since the movie adaptation was announced until its movie premiere and still lingered for months, interest about the upcoming sequel has started to fade.

This was not the first time that "Fifty Shades Darker" was reportedly delayed. In fact, we previously reported that the upcoming sequel of the highly-controversial movie adaptation of E.L. James' "Fifty Shades of Grey" have experienced some production setbacks due to some budget issues and the change of director. The budget issues came after lead stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson demanded for a 7-figure salary payout, which challenged the producers.

Recent reports, however, claimed that "Fifty Shades Darker" is not progressing as expected. While it is expected that the sequel is already on its production phase now, it is at a complete standstill at the moment, Movie News Guide noted. And if these delays continue, the sequel's release date on Feb. 10, 2017 might be rescheduled.

The reason behind the recent delay of "Fifty Shades Darker" is still unknown. But on a brighter side, the team behind the movie is doing their best to resume the production schedule for filming.

Meanwhile, with the recurring delays of "Fifty Shades Darker," Movie Pilot reported that interest over the BDSM-themed sequel is fading. While reports of its tricky production spread like wildfire online, the movie only fed off the hype.

Aside from fading interest of fans to "Fifty Shades Darker" because of delays, there has also been no casting progress. Despite hiring James Foley as director, they are still looking for a casting director, News Everyday revealed.

"We're nowhere near casting," Dana Brunetti said. "We haven't gotten into anything like that. We don't even have a casting director on it yet."

Speaking of casting, there are still no reports on who will play the roles of Jack Hyde, Elena Lincoln aka Mrs. Robinson and Leila Williams. But actors including Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder, Theo James, Charlize Theron, Cara Delevingne and Alexis Bledel have repeatedly linked to the said roles, and only Cavill has denied his involvement on the sequel.
