When it comes to Mariah Carey, money should come first above everything else as recent reports claim that she ditched ex-hubby Nick Cannon for richer boyfriend, James Packer. While the 35-year-old "America's Got Talent" host has quite a prolific net worth of $50 million, the 45-year-old diva's billionaire lover has a load more.
Nick Cannon's ex-wife Mariah Carey is seemed to be happier nowadays as she wore bigger smiles. And those were actually because of her billionaire boyfriend, James Packer. According to Ok! Magazine, Packer overtook Cannon's fortune with his whooping $4.5 billion net worth. He is also considered as one of Australia's richest boss, who inherited the control of his family's company, Consolidated Press Holdings Limited, which controls investments in Crown Resorts, RatPac-Dune Entertainment, Zhoapin Pty Ltd and other companies.
Even though the couple has only been going out for several months, Packer has already spoiled Carey with lavish gifts, which included a diamond heart pendant worth $500,000. The 48-year-old Australian businessman has also taken the "Hero" singer and her 4-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, on his super yacht as they traveled to Capri and Italy.
Aside from the money, Mariah Carey is reportedly "madly in love" with James Packer. While the businessman is also "absolutely infatuated" with the "Butterfly" hitmaker. Packer is also making Nick Cannon's ex feel "beautiful and treats her like a star," which is reportedly what Carey wants, In Touch Weekly noted.
"Although Mariah does not need him for his money, the fact that he has his own money, and lots of it, is a huge bonus," a source told Radar Online, via Life & Style magazine.
The celeb gossip site also added that Mariah Carey would like to be married again and rumors have it that they are already in the talks about marriage.
"Mariah definitely wants to marry again," an insider revealed. "After what Nick [Cannon] put her through, she is just in a really great place and feels so blessed to have found a man who loves her for her. Mariah was in a really dark period for quite some time prior to meeting James. Everyone that knows and cares about her is super relieved because James has pulled her out of it."
While Mariah Carey has moved on from her failed marriage and found love again, her lupus-battling ex Nick Cannon is also doing the same. And for his 35th birthday on Thursday, the rapper-host took his twins to some fine dining at Chuck E. Cheese's, ET Online revealed. Cannon even shared their adorable pics on Instagram.
