‘Dance Moms’ CANCELLED? Maks Chmerkovskiy Calls Abby Lee ‘An Awful Human Being’ After Fraudulent Miller Gets Indicted On 20 Bankruptcy Counts

Is “Dance Moms” going to get cancelled? — This is the question playing in the minds of the Lifetime show’s fans after dance instructor Abby Lee Miller is bound to face five years behind bars.

In a shocking turn of events, it was revealed yesterday that "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller has been indicted on 20 counts of bankruptcy related issues. The 46-year-old is said to have been involved in bankruptcy fraud, and she also had concealed bankruptcy assets and made false bankruptcy declarations, as per Radar Online.

Because of the federal jury's decision, Abby Lee is now facing a five-year prison sentence. Given her situation, many are wondering if this will greatly affect "Dance Moms" despite the show's open call for aspiring dancers in late August.

The show is expected to return to Lifetime with an all-new season next year, but with Abby Lee's case, "Dance Moms" could either get cancelled, or its return could be pushed back to the distant future.

Following the news about Miller's indictment, "Dancing With The Stars" alum Maks Chmerkovskiy grabbed the opportunity to slam the embattled instructor who previously guest judged on "DWTS" and critiqued Maks for something that's beyond his performance at the time.

Speaking of Miller during his appearance during the "Allegedly With Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss" podcast, Chmerkovskiy said, "I don't know what is the purpose for Abby Lee miller's existence. I think she makes money and became famous on borderline child abuse."

Maks continued to slam Abby Lee and went as far as calling her "an awful human being," as per a separate Radar Online report.

As if that wasn't enough, Maks compared his teaching style with Abby Lee saying, "I was rough, I was not an easy teacher. But I was in front of the class showing it. [Unlike] somebody like Abby who I found out didn't even dance!"

Miller has yet to respond to Chmerkovskiy's comments about her, and she has yet to address the bankruptcy case as well.

Meanwhile, "Dance Moms" sister show "Dance Mums with Jennifer Ellison" already started this Monday.

On the show's official Facebook page, the show's teaser was uploaded last Friday showing that Ellison will be in full control this season.

If you are missing "Dance Moms," tune in for a similar show every Monday night at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
