“Scandal” gets extra-scandalous now that Fitz and Olivia Pope’s secret is out for the public to know and follow. In tonight’s Season 5 Episode 4, viewers will get to see the repercussions of the big reveal starting to take a toll on the controversial high-profile couple. Fans of the Fitz-Liv couple may have enjoyed the start of this season. After all, Shonda Rhimes' series filled in everyone's desire to see Olivia and the President getting back together. However, Liv's team is not called gladiators for nothing. Plus, since this is "Scandal" it's a given that the relationship between the lead characters will be rocky.
Previously, the big reveal about Fitz and Liv's romance happened, and according to Refinery29, Liv, who has been outed as the mistress of the U.S. President, and Fitz are not on the same page on what they want to do amid the controversy in "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 4, which you can watch online through the free online stream link at the bottom.
Fitz has fired Abby and this will get in the way between him and his ladylove. However, Kerry Washington's character will have to deal with more than just Abby's termination though she of course asks her lover to give Abby her job back, as noted by International Business Times.
On the other hand, Fitz is sick worried of Olivia, whom he thinks is being "crucified" by the publicity that comes along the revelation of his romance with Olivia. Olivia will also be slut-shamed, and this will drive Fitz insane. In one of the previews for tonight's episode, the President could be heard telling Elizabeth that a morning show just "gave estimates on how many men [Olivia had] slept with and at what age she'd lost her virginity," according to PennLive.
Clearly however, Fitz should focus more on a much bigger problem, and it's the one that Mellie and Cyrus are cooking. In another sneak peek, it's hinted that the President may be on the road to getting impeached from his position following the exposure of his scandalous affair.
