Why ‘The Muppets’ Episode 5 Is NOT AIRING This Tuesday Night On ABC

“The Muppets” episode 5 will continue the interesting storyline between Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. The last time we saw them, their separation from each other was taking a toll on them separately. Will they patch things up in the all-new episode?

Unfortunately, fans of the ABC series will have to wait at least one more week before they can glue their eyes on their TV screens and watch "The Muppets" new episode. The show is taking a break from airing a brand new episode this Tuesday night.

After passing the four-episode test this fall season, "The Muppets" is sure to return with episode 5. However, fans will not see the new episode just yet since the show is giving way for the special airing of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

ABC is continuing the tradition by airing the annual Peanuts special which first ran in 1966 and was first shown on CBS. According to WXYZ, the half-hour special chronicles how the Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween.

The remaining half of the 8 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday time slot will be occupied by "Toy Story of TERROR," the Halloween made-for-TV special of the famous Disney Pixar franchise.

That said, fans of "The Muppets" will have to wait till Oct. 27 to watch episode 5 of their beloved series. According to International Business Times, the episode entitled "Walk the Swine" will follow Kermit's plan to plot major trouble against Miss Piggy.

The separation is really taking a toll on Kermit, who despite trying his best to move on and live his life normally, will end up finding himself plotting revenge  against Miss Piggy. Will he realize this plan, or will a sudden twist help the two reunite and rekindle their relationship?

Meanwhile, fans are thrilled to know that "The Muppets"  has survived the four-episode test of the fall season, with TV.com saying that the show will most likely live until the season wraps up and despite losing to "The Flash" and "NCIS."

It can be noted that ABC's "The Muppets" premiered to very strong ratings as per Deadline, avenging the defunct comedy series "Selfie" of last year's fall lineup. The self-starter gathered 9.01 million viewers on its first week. And though the ratings fell to 5.78 million on the second, $4.85 million on the third and $4.34 million on its fourth week, the ratings are strong enough to make the show last for its entire first season.

Don't miss "The Muppets" episode 5 next Tuesday night. Tune in on ABC at 8 p.m. EDT on Oct. 27.
