“America’s Next Top Model” Cycle 22 is back with episode 11 this Friday night. Technically, it isn’t a new one, but a recap or a “catch up” episode featuring clips showing meltdowns and drama that were not featured in the previous episodes of Tyra Banks’ show that The CW aired thus far.
The final season of "ANTM" is coming to an end soon, and the Cycle 22 competition is getting tougher and tougher each episode. Last week, the reality modelling competition was a no-show when episode 11 didn't air to the disappointment of loyal fans.
This Friday, "ANTM" is finally back with episode 11, but to the disappointment of fans who are looking for another round of challenges and photoshoots, episode 11 is this season's "catch up" special — a tradition of the show to look back on the controversial happenings that didn't make it to the aired episodes.
In case you are tuning in on tonight's show, TV Maze revealed what fans should expect noting: "Catch up on Cycle 22 with all new footage of behind-the-scenes confessions, flirtations and meltdowns among the guys and girls. Host Tyra Banks joins Miss J, Kelly Cutrone and photo shoot consultant Yu Tsai to monitor all the on-camera drama."
On the show's official Facebook page, teasers about "ANTM" Cycle 22 Episode 11 were dropped ahead of its airing. One clip suggests that this Friday night's show is going to be filled with drama and petty to serious fights between the model hopefuls inside the house.
As per International Business Times, this week's episode will feature the rivalries and expose the real drama in the contestants' private lives. The site also noted that from the looks of the teaser clip, fans will see the confrontation between Hadassah and Ashley.
Viewers who have seen the teasers for "ANTM" Cycle 22 Episode 11 took to Facebook to express their disappointment over the "catch up" episode instead of a new one.
Facebook user Angela Langer wrote: You cheat us out of last week and now we get a stupid clip show? hate you."
Another fan, Mojca Breskvar commented: "So basically another week without another new episode? Just BTS? Meh, just more drama and no modeling."
Jessica Rotach posted: "Ugh it's not a real episode? I don't like the "catch up" episodes."
Meanwhile, Philip Preston Nguyen was hopeful that there's a good explanation for last week's no-show and this week's catch-up episode when he wrote: "Maybe they're delaying showing the series so that they can reshoot the finale to honor the end of ANTM?"
"ANTM" Cycle 22 is the last season of Tyra Banks' modelling show. The last episode will be aired on Dec. 4, according to Duke Chronicle.
