'The Flash' Plans To Fight Zoom In Season 2 Episode 6 Synopsis; Could Harrison Wells Be The Black Speedster?

"The Flash" season 2, episode 6 synopsis revealed that Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, was planning to fight Jay Garrick's nemesis, Zoom.

Danielle Panabaker's Caitlyn Snow and Teddy Sears' Garrick did not want "The Flash" to do such a thing. However, Candice Patton's Iris West supports Allen's decision and according to TVGuide, she will even bring a surprise ally to help him.

The CW released a trailer clip of "The Flash" season 2, episode 6 recently showing Malese Jow's Linda Park disguised as Earth-2 doppelganger Doctor Light. ComicBook.com reported that the fight was staged to lure Zoom.

Could she be the surprise ally the synopsis was referring to or is it going to be someone else? Will the black speedster take the bait?

Zoom is the name who has been repeatedly said since "The Flash" season 2, episode 1. It has been established that he is evil, but his powers and identity remain under the wraps.

This guessing led to a couple of theories from "The Flash" fanatics, and one of the suspects is Tom Cavanaugh's Harrison Wells. Wells died in the season finale, but this is his other version from Garrick's world, and he is now crossed to Allen's.

In Earth Two, Wells is leading metahuman tech entrepreneur, a father and an arch nemesis to Garrick, as per the review of Den of Geek. That said, who's to say he's not Zoom?

Zoom wears a black suit, and the Movie Pilot pointed out that in season 1, Wells from Earth One also had a black suit before giving it the colour.

Barry confronted Harrison in one of the clips for "The Flash" season 2, episode 5, and he was told by the doctor that he knew everything about Zoom because he was the one who created him. This complicates things because if indeed he created him, then he could be one of the many humans turned into metas' when the particle accelerator exploded.

There's another theory that Zoom could be Eobard Thawne in his original body, and that Wells is only being used to execute his bid. A suspicion is also being placed on Eddie Thawne, who killed himself to change the fate of his villainous descendant.

Unlike "The Flash" and the Reverse Flash, Zoom's speed energy is blue. Eddie may have committed suicide, but he was sucked into a singularity surrounded by blue energy, which makes this theory also a possibility.

These theories remains to be proven so stay tuned. "The Flash" season 2, episode 6 airs tonight at 8 p.m. on The CW.
