Lenovo Vibe X3 Specs, Features & Pricing: The Three Faces Of The X3

The Lenovo Vibe X3 was launched recently, in not one, not two, but three versions.

As reported by the International Business Times, Lenovo launched the much anticipated Vibe X3 series in Beijing.

Prior to the release, the Vibe X3 received a lot of media attention over its leaked images that showed Motorola's influence in the design of the phone. Critics said that it looked strikingly identical to the Moto series in terms of the exterior look.

For those unaware, Motorla's influence over Lenovo is not a coincidence because it was acquired by the Chinese tech giant from Google back in 2014. And just a few months ago, the company's whole mobile business was moved to Motorola due to the decline in profits.

It is believed that all upcoming mobile devices from Lenovo, will be designed by Motorola engineers. The Vibe X3 features two dual front speakers, one on the top and another at the bottom and an elongated oval-shaped metal strip that features camera and LED flash on the back. These design cues look very similar to every 2015 Moto series devices.

However, the key differences are the Vibe has multi-grille speakers on the front and the metal strip on the back has a finger-print sensor. On the other hand, the Moto series comes with a single-grill speakers and the rear-side metal houses the brand's trademark bat wing insignia at the center.

Display & Chipset

As for the specs, GSM Arena reported that all three variants of the Lenovo Vibe X3 will have 5.5-inch displays with FullHD resolution and Gorilla Grass 3 protection.

Moreover, the two higher-end models will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, 3GB of RAM and either a 64GB or 32GB of built-in storage, with the user having the option to expansion via microSD cards.

Camera

You'll love taking photos with the Lenovo Vibe X3 because it has a staggering 23 megapixel primary camera that uses a Sony IMX230 sensor with phase detection autofocus. But the biggest treat is, it also has 4K video recording capabilities.

The front-facing camera is not too shabby either with its 8 mega pixels resolution.

Battery Life

Battery life is also worth noting because, as noted, the 3,600mAh battery can last a long time. As a bonus, Qualcomm's QuickCharge 2.0 technology is also featured, thereby charging your Vibe can be done fast.

Pricing

Its pricing is also commendable. According to Uber Gizmo, the phones are priced at $470 for the 64GB model, $390 for the 32GB model, and $300 for the "Youth" version.

Unfortunately, Lenovo has yet to announce when they will release it in the U.S. One thing is for sure though, it's one of the best products Lenovo has ever created.
