Despite the ongoing rumors that Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough are getting too close behind the “Dancing With The Stars” Season 21 camera such that Bindi’s boyfriend Chandler Powell is turning green in envy, Steve Irwin’s daughter does not have time for negativity in her life especially now that she may be bringing home the mirrorball trophy after this season of the ABC ballroom dancing competition wraps up.
This week, several media outlets once again ran stories claiming that Bindi and Derek's relationship is taking a toll on the former's romance with her boyfriend Chandler. CelebDirtyLaundry reported that the dancing partners' chemistry is very evident even when they are not dancing since they spend as much time off the stage with each other.
Since the season started, Derek has been voicing out praises for the late Steve Irwin's daughter on social media. Now, because of the closeness between the two, sources claim that a breakup between Bindi and Chandler is inevitable since the latter is jealous and insecure over Hough's playful and sweet relationship with his girl.
Daily Mail also heard about this issue and reported that Powell may have indeed developed insecurity amid Bindi's "Dancing With the Stars" journey. The site even noted that Irwin may leave Powell for good once she decides to stay in the U.S. because of her fame.
Powell obviously prefers his homeland over Hollywood. In fact, he took to Instagram a week ago to share a snap of his return there and a meaningful message about coming back home. He wrote: "No place will ever beat home! Love traveling but it's great being able to come home to this."
While neither Powell nor Bindi has straightforwardly addressed the issue, fans of Bindi and Derek insist that what the two share is basically a friendly and very platonic relationship.
This Monday, Bindi and Derek once again conquered the dance floor of the hit ABC series, and this time they did it with Hough's best friend and also one of the show's professional dancers, Mark Ballas.
Bindi didn't forget to express her gratitude and love to the two dancers. She took to her Instagram account yesterday to share a snap of them after their trio dance routine. She captioned the photo: "These guys feel more like family. You ARE family. I love you both more than words! Thank you for creating such a beautiful trio dance tonight. It was an absolute honour to learn and dance with you both."
She also thanked all her supporters, writing: "And to everyone, thank you so much for your support. I couldn't be here without you. I'll continue to try my best for you. We must find the light in every day. I'm determined to give this journey my all. I can't believe we made it to the finals of @dancingabc."
Also, amid the seemingly never-ending breakup rumors, Irwin proudly shared a snap of her and Chandler on the latter's birthday over the weekend.
The black-and-white photo shows Chandler carrying his girlfriend, who could be seen pressing her nose against Powell's left cheek. Her meaningful birthday message read: "Happy birthday to a person who inspires me every day. A soul who makes me smile no matter where I am in the world, despite any amount of distance. Thank you for the endless hugs, late night conversations about life, holding my hand when a loud noise scares me and laughing along with all of my bindi moments. I'm blessed to be a part of your world."
Also, even Derek helped out in Chandler's big surprise appearance for Bindi during his special day. E! News has learned that during their rehearsals on Saturday, Hough helped Powell pull off a shocker.
Derek said of the reunion between Bindi and her boyfriend: "She was like, 'Oh my gosh, what are you doing here?' and she starts fixing her hair...it was so cute to see." He also added, "It was great. We got to surprise her and I was so happy."
