Samsung Galaxy A9 To Hit Market Before 2016? Listing Of New Smartphone Spotted

Is Samsung dropping its flagship smartphone by the end of the year?

We don't know for sure, but there are rumors that another awesome Samsung smartphone is about to drop — enter the Samsung Galaxy A9.

Well, it's far from it being the Korean-tech giant's masterpiece, but you can't deny that for a mid-level device, it sure can hold its own against other higher priced competition.

As reported by Ubergizmo, there's has been a leak that points to something from the FCC, in addition to a new listing for the Samsung Galaxy A9 on the official website of Samsung in Iran.

In the said listing, it includes leaked information about what the upcoming smartphone is all about, that we can consider more or less official. According to the listing, the Galaxy A9 is equipped with a very capable Octa-core Snapdragon 620 SoC, alongside a quartet of next-gen Cortex-A72 cores, an equal number of Cortex-A53 and a new Adreno 510 GPU.

The smartphone looks impressive on paper where it will also be with a 3 GB of RAM as well as 32 GB of internal memory, with an option to be expanded via microSD card, making the phone go up to 128 GB of storage space.

In a similar report by GSM Arena, the smartphone will also have 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p, which adds up to 401 ppi. The camera setup features a very capable 16 megapixel main camera with HDR and auto-focus, with a 5 megapixel front camera that is more than enough for selfies.

Phone Arena also reports that the phone can support 4K video, which is surprising for a mid-end phone.

As for connectivity, it comes with a standard setup of GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, with the A9 booting up the Android 5.1.1 "Lollipop" out of the box. The only missing information so far is its battery capacity.

The Samsung page also lists a December 1 launch date for the Galaxy A9 which reports believe to be legitimate information.

Additional reports state that the phone will be available in three colors namely, Pearl White, Midnight Black and Champagne Gold.

For people who can't wait for the Samsung Galaxy S7 or even the Samsung Galaxy NOTE 6, the Galaxy A9 is not actually a bad substitute.

Sure, it's not the flagship smartphone, but if we're going to be honest, it's the phone that offers the best value.

A smartphone with a mid-range pricing, but high-end specs? The Samsung Galaxy A9 is definitely worth considering when looking for new phone options this Holiday season.
