MacBook Air 2016 RUMOR: Is Apple Releasing Updated Version Of MacBook Air At #WWDC2016 Or Is It Being Phased Out In Favor Of IPad Pro?

MacBook Air 2016 is set to come out at next year's Worldwide Developers Conference? It was rumored that this is possible and Apple is already preparing to showcase its newly redesigned Macintosh portable notebook.

MacBook Air 2016 is one of the most favorite computers out there. This is because it offers many features that can't be replicated by other brands. Its specs are impressive and using them make computing a notch better compared to its competitors.

The latest model, the 2016 version of the MacBook, is being anticipated due to its supposed new design and upgraded features. MacRumors claimed that there will be big changes in its internal design so that Apple could produce the device in slimmer form.

It was added that that this notebook will come in two sizes — 13 and 15-inch. Although previous versions have 11-inch models, it was not mentioned whether MacBook Air 2016 will also have this size denomination, according to IBTimes.

And most probably, the retina display would be used in the revamped editions to fit with the slim body, allow low voltage Intel chips and get much better resolution. 3D touch capabilities will complete the computer's make over.

While this may seem to be good news to MacBook users, some sources are speculating that rather than releasing the new notebook, Apple is actually phasing out the MacBook Air to make way for improved iPad Pro lines.

Will this really be the end of these sleek laptops? Is Apple replacing it with the iPad Pro?

Based on the review of the experts, the rumors may be true. In fact, most of their comments suggest that the Mac notebooks are being discontinued as the company favors iPad Pro, which is more user-friendly.

Moreover, as if to explain the possibility of phasing out the MacBooks, TechTimes quoted the chief of research and head of US business at Kantar Worldpanel, Carolina Milanesi, as saying, "All notebooks need to be more mobile, so something like the Air doesn't need to be branched out anymore ... and it's to Apple's benefit not to have so many 'families' of Macs."

Jaw Dawson of the Jackdow Research also shared his thoughts on the idea of Mac laptops becoming obsolete, "They kept [the MacBook Air] around just as they do with older iPhones, but the MacBook is now in the same position as the newest iPhone. That makes me wonder if the Air will go away over time," Dawson said to MacWorld.

The MacBook Air 2016 release is surrounded by rumors but if the line is indeed going to be scrapped, users are hoping that the last model would have the best features so it will exit with all the accolades that it deserves.
