Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's romance is getting more attention as Christmas draws near. One reason for this is that, tension between the "Used To Love You" singer and ex-husband Gavin Rossdale is rising as "The Voice" coaches turned lovers divulged their plans to celebrate the holidays together.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are planning ahead looking forward to a festive Christmas celebration. However, if the couple is to spend the day together, it means that Stefani's kids — Kingston, Apollo and Zuma — would have to be there too, and this is where the problem begins.
"Blake and Gwen have vowed to be together for Christmas," a source shared to Radar.
The source went on, "Gwen and Gavin are trying to determine if they can be under one roof on Christmas Eve for the boys to open presents. If that is the situation, Blake has said he obviously wouldn't be there."
Then again, before the reports of the new couple's intention to spend the holidays together came out, Gavin Rossdale, had already expressed his plans to be with his boys and Gwen was even told about it.
"Gavin has told Gwen, via the nanny, that he wants to take the boys to Mammoth, California, during the Christmas break. It was a sting to Gwen because that is where they used to go as a family, along with the nanny Gavin was accused of having an affair with," the insider further disclosed.
And on a latest interview with PEOPLE, the heavy metal vocalist said that while he is currently busy on his 2016 tour but, "My children come first." Then he blurted out that he prepared a surprise special gift to his sons. And what could this be?
On IBTimes, he happily announced his plans to be with his boys by saying: "I am taking the boys on a special trip Dec. 26. Where we are going is a big surprise!"
It is apparent that the Rossdale kids are caught in the middle. There's conflict on where they would celebrate Christmas since their parents are now separated. In addition, a feud between the ex-coulple is also brewing due to this issue.
With just a few weeks left to go before Christmas, Stefani and Rossdale must talk it out and decide on something that everyone will agree on — something that what will be good for their children so they can have a happy holiday.
