‘Miss Universe’ 2015 [UPDATE]: Latina Contestants Dominating Pageant Predictions? Steve Harvey To Host Pageant’s Coronation Night For The First Time


Excitement is definitely in the air for avid beauty pageant enthusiasts as a new "Miss Universe" 2015 winner will be crowned in a week's time. Televised under a new format, the 64th Miss Universe competition will be broadcasted by FOX from The Axis at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada on Dec. 20.

The "Miss Universe" 2015 will also be under the helm of William Morris Endeavor/International Management Group (WME/IMG) after acquiring the Miss Universe Organization from business tycoon and presidential candidate Donald Trump.

As the "Miss Universe" 2015 coronation night comes close, the ladies from more than 80 countries paraded their national costumes during a filming event of the pageant. According to International Business Times, they will be parading their national costumes during the final show as it is one of the categories of the pageant.

Aside from showcasing their national outfits, the 81 "Miss Universe" 2015 contestants have also shared a glimpse of their evening gowns and swimwear made by Italian lingerie brand, Yamamay.

Meanwhile, Emmy Award winner Steve Harvey will be hosting the "Miss Universe" 2015 coronation night live on Sunday, Dec. 20. Harvey, who is thrilled to host the iconic event for the first time, is a TV personality, talk show host, actor and comedian who currently hosts two popular TV shows like "The Steve Harvey Show," which premiered in 2011 and "Family Feud," a game show that he started hosting in 2010.

"Steve Harvey is one of the funniest, most likeable personalities on TV today, and he's the perfect host for this very special evening," FOX Broadcasting Company President for Entertainment David Madden said, as per Miss Universe Organization's statement. "The combination of Steve and the talented, impressive women vying for the Miss Universe title is sure to make this a night to remember."

Since we are close to crown a new "Miss Universe" 2015 winner, the most recent top five predictions from beauty pageant expert Missosology revealed that Latina contestants dominated the list. Among the site's latest hot picks include Clarissa Molina of Dominican Republic, Urvashi Rautela of India, Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia, Mariana Jimenez of Venezuela and Narissara France of Great Britain.

Also part of the top 15 list are contestants from Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Peru, USA, Vietnam, Russia, France, Mexico and Denmark. While Miss Sweden, Miss Costa Rica, Miss Ukraine, Miss Lebanon and Miss Israel are also bubbling up in the competition.

During the "Miss Universe" 2015 competition, the ladies will be judged in three rounds including swimsuit, evening gown and the question-and-answer session. The winner will then be crowned by the reigning queen Paulina Vega of Colombia.
