Cruel Intentions sweetheart Ryan Phillippe, 40, has been captivated fully by law student fiancee Paulina Slagter, 24, according to a reliable source, who claims to be a close friend to the couple, that spilled the beans to People Magazine. The source told the magazine that Phillippe is madly in love with Slagter and has changed him to the better man that he is today.
Phillippe is mesmerized by Slagter's mind; her intelligence and desire to make life for everyone around her. "Ryan feels Paulina is very intelligent and has opened his mind to equality and civil rights, areas he has never really focused on that intently," added the source who has spent the weekend with the couple. "Being a student at Stanford law is impressive to him, and he is very proud of her. He feels that she has the ability to change the world and make it a better place. Ryan is madly in love and wants to spend the rest of his life with Paulina." The source also adds that the feeling between the two is mutual, stating that both had their eyes only for each other during the South Beach weekend.
Phillippe shares 2 children, Ava and Deacon, with ex-wife and actress Reese Witherspoon and another one with his former girlfriend and Pitch Perfect actress Alexis Knapp named Kai. Slagter's affection towards the children is one of the many reasons why Phillippe wants to marry her. "Paulina loves Ryan's children, and they love her," the source states.
Phillippe recently admitted that whenever people see Slagter, they would have judgments because she could be a model but she's about to graduate Stanford Law.
The two reportedly became engaged on Christmas day. The Stanford law student flaunted her engagement ice on several occasions, showing off what seems to be a large solitaire diamond.
