It's National Pizza Day and National Bagel Day, It's Also Pizza Bagel Day

What could be a better day for eating carbs than National Pizza Day? Coincidentally, it's also National Bagel Day. Which makes it - National Pizza Bagel Day!

It's not clear when both national food-days began but one thing is for sure - everybody loves pizza and bagels.

National Pizza day is not to be confused with National Pizza With Everything Except Anchovies Day on Nov. 12, Sept. 5’s National Cheese Pizza Day and National Pepperoni Pizza Day on Sept. 20.

No, National Pizza Day is a day for all kinds of Pizzas and the fates have decided that both holidays will fall on February 9 - dubbed Fat Tuesday according to the National Day Calendar. Which also makes it the last day for Christians who fast during the Lenten season. Gluttons will unite on this carbo-loading day when the two American table favorites will be observed.

With that going on, Pizza places should be shelling out pizzas like hotcakes but it doesn't look like Domino's and Papa John's were in on the fad while Pizza Hut ran an hour long deal on Twitter for $10 gift cards. In case you missed the Pizza Hut gift card bonanza, then you might just still be able to celebrate with a free slice from Pilot Flying J by just presenting this coupon.

If you're not into pizza, then the other half of the holiday could be your thing when Einstein Bros gave away free bagels and cream cheese to customers, as long as you present this coupon. If you're a fan of Thomas' Bagels, you're lucky if you're one of the few to get their 10,000 limited coupons

Sadly, the only combined treat for both favorites doesn't seem to be celebratory. NYDaily reports that Bagel Bites, known for being a pizza and a bagel in one, did not make any announcement of joining in on the holiday fun.

But that shouldn't be a problem for pizza and bagel lovers. The duo-holiday just gives Americans a valid reason to eat carbs.
