Get Ready For George Washington’s Spring Career and Internship Fair This Year

Next week, the George Washington University is launching its Spring Career and Internship Fair. An event where 125 employers will engage with students on February 17.

Students should take the opportunity when a Spring Career and Internship Fair is held by the Center for Career Services. The center's goal is to provide a university-wide support for all students. Undergraduates and graduates are welcome, especially those looking to expand or start their career.

Undergrads can start with an internship or voluntary position in order to gain experience and exposure.

The Spring Career and Internship Fair will be camping at the Charles E. Smith Center between 1PM and 5PM, for one day only. They will be recruiting new employees, possible interns and conducting interviews. Employers will also be sharing information about the background of their company.

The Center for Career Services Associate Director for Employee Relations, Graham Bottrel, announced that a minimum of 18 employers are already looking at George Washington University students to recruit. "We usually don't fill up a month in advance-it's unprecedented," Bottrel explains.

Featured employers include Macy's and Bloomingdales'. These two companies have also sponsored the fair. Other companies also include Reingold, the World bank, Teach for America, software company Tableau and the Peace Corps.

Aside from potential employers, LinkedIn will also be highlighted at the event. LinkedIn will be providing a Professional Photo Booth where students can get an upgraded and highly professional headshots. LinkedIn will also offer advice about how to improve their profile accounts on the website when at their "Rock My Profile" booth.

Other career programs and booths will also be available.

Recently, the Princeton Review GW the top school for internships for the second consecutive year. Which is not a strange thing seeing that GW is poised to equip their students and alumni for the future.

In order to participate at the event, students should review the fair preparation page and research the list of employers with whom they wish to speak and-if they haven't done so-submit their resume for a critique. Be sure to dress for success!
