'Harry Potter' Prequel: ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Dissected

In case you've missed it, the "Harry Potter" prequel entitled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" trailer has already been released. Although the trailer didn't reveal much information, it is enough to give viewers an expectation.

The wizarding world of the "Harry Potter" prequel is set in the United States - New York to be exact. This setting is quite different than what HP fans have been used to as the environment is set in the year 1926.

Eddie Redmayne will be leading the movie as Newt Scamander, a magizoologist. If fans haven't figured it out from the word yet, it's a combination of magic and zoologist. His mission is to find magical creatures which apparently have gone missing from his brief case.

The trailer opens up with a "Lumos Maxima" spell and then moves to a scene where Katherine Waterston (who plays the witch Porpentina Goldstein) stands before the MACUSA (Magical Congress of the USA). Participants of the MACUSA are much more diverse than the Ministry of Magic fans used to know. Porpentina speaks before Seraphina - it is not known if she's the president of MACUSA but it's clear that a phoenix emblem with the USA stars are behind her.

While Scamander is out to find these creatures, Percival Graves, played by Colin Farrell, enforces the law as an Auror. The final shot shows Scamander shooting his wand at something and the trailer closes with what seems to look like a creature with eyes.

While fans are waiting for the movie to come out, Warner Bros. may be raking in a ton of press and earnings, as predicted by Forbes.
