"Star Wars Episode VIII" spoilers alert! The film and production crew is setting up in Dubrovnik, Croatia and the local scenery is slowly turning into alien world architecture.
Recently, drones have been hovering over Croatia for paparazzi to get a glimpse of the production going on for the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VIII." The drones were able to capture snippets of the Millenium Falcon and the new Rebel Alliance base being used on location until plans of shooting these drones down were announced. This entrepreneurial method, though stealthy, was short-lived.
The next installment is still untitled but on a more open and obvious note, locals are beginning to see "Star Wars" architecture being set up in town. Set pieces from the film have been popping up here and there even though the filiming will officially begin on Mar. 9, 2016.
There's no need for drones as the locals themselves took notice of the Old City of Dubrovnik being morphed into an alien-like structure as well as the Trg Oruzja Square. While locals casually stroll on the main streets, they are being transported into an extra-terrestrial world that is unlike their old hometown.
It was impossible for people to ignore that even The Dubrovnik Times reported that the main street in the city center has become so strange that a souvenir shop is now transformed into an alien world architecture.
"Star Wars Episode VIII" spoilers teased that props and sets continue to pop up in the very public film location everyday like mushrooms. It is unsure if this is another humanoid settlement. It could very well be an alien planet.
While reports and pictures continue to document these "Star Wars" sightings, it is still unclear whether this will become a main plot or set element and it will be interesting to see if the lead actors will show up in town!
