'Gilmore Girls' Netflix Return: Did Lorelai Get Married? Rory Runs For Senate? What Has The Cast Been Doing For 8 Years?

What has the "Gilmore Girls" cast been doing since the show ended? It has been eight years since the final episode of "Gilmore Girls" aired and fans wonder what Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel's characters have been up to.

As fans already know, a "Gilmore Girls" revival on Netflix is underway and fans are eager to see what their beloved characters have been up in the upcoming new show. Lorelai Gilmore, played by Lauren Graham, has finally become an adult. Ever since daughter Rory left the house, reports have surfaced that Lorelai could be happily married in Stars Hollow with Luke Danes, as played by Scott Patterson, or maybe she left town without a word with Paul Anka, only calling home to check in on the Dragonfly Inn.

While Mom Lorelai has been busy trying to grow up, Rory Gilmore, played by Alexis Bledel, shipped herself off to Iowa to help run Obama's campaign. It is quite possible that she is now BuzzFeed's chief political correspondent and living it down in a SoHo apartment. She appears to be much happier now especially that she's dating Logan. So what brings her back to Stars Hollow? Rory heard from Emily that Richard passed away and she ultimately decides to go home for the week.

It has been confirmed that Richard's passing is the major plotline for the reboot and that would mean Emily Gilmore, played by Kelly Bishop, will build her fences higher than usual.

"Gilmore Girls" cast favorites are set to return for a four-episode reunion on Netflix with the exception of Melissa McCarthy. Get ready for an ex after ex onslaught of flashbacks and quite possibly a new love interest.
