"When Oscar [Isaac] and I met we began discussing, since he isn't really God, he's the first mutant perhaps, he's imbued with certain unique powers. Some of them may or may not be from this Earth." said Director Bryan Singer from the article of MNG.

Singer also digs into the details mentioning about the powerful meta-character that will be presented in the  "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie. "I have never felt power like this before," said Singer. "Talking more about this mythical bad guy. To me he is the God of the Old Testament and all that comes with that. If there isn't order and worship then I'll open up the Earth and swallow you whole."

Totally incorruptible, Apocalypse also has another set of exceptional abilities. "But his ability to physically damage, destroy, or build is in the non-biological world. That's in the physical world, he can change the inorganic molecules of things," said Singer.

According to Den of geek, "X-Men: Apocalypse's" storyline picks up 10 years after the story of "Days of Future Past" evolved. Apocalypse' power being induced in the film is part of prologue of the movie where Apocalypse appears to be in an ancient Egyptian battle. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman and Nicholas Hoult are just some of the cast listed in the movie.
