‘Mass Effect 4: Andromeda’ Release Date: New Game Is More Massive Than ‘Mass Effect 3,’ Updates On The New Protagonist And ‘Mako’ Revealed!

After Bioware's "Mass Effect 4: Andromeda" was moved to a later release date in 2017, new updates are now highlighting what users may expect from the long wait. According to recent reports, "Andromeda" has various differences from "Mass Effect 3" in terms of its location and features.

"When we wrapped up the original Mass Effect trilogy with Mass Effect 3: Citadel in early 2013, planning and design on Mass Effect: Andromeda was already well underway," BioWare explained as reported by PCAdvisor. "We knew we wanted to start with a foundation composed of the best parts of any Mass Effect game: exciting new worlds to discover, great characters, and intense action. At the same time, we clearly wanted to expand the definition of what you should expect from a Mass Effect game."

The outlet also detailed that "Mass Effect 4: Andromeda" will start a gamer's journey in Helius Cluster. "Andromeda," the new planet that players will explore is assumed to be "four times bigger" than what gamers used to play in the previous game.

Aside from the new location that players can explore in "Mass Effect 4," the replacement for Commander Shepard is also highlighted in the game. Ecumenical News claimed that the new protagonist for "Andromeda" is called Pathfinder and just like the old Lieutenant, Pathfinder is also customizable and could be changed into a different gender.

The space vehicle Mako which was used in the previous installments also has a face-lift. The space vehicle can now travel from one planet to the other in "Andromeda" with just one click of a button. This new feature of Mako makes it possible for players to tune up their gaming experience in exploring other planets.

"It's a really agile Mako, it's much different to the one you've seen before. There's no cannon on it, maybe it can hover maybe it can jump - I don't know," said producer Mike Gamble in a report from PCAdvisor.
