America's Best Employers Unveiled

When it comes to finding jobs, it is also important to know which companies to apply and work for. Here are some of America's best employers that have surpassed others in terms of performances, employee management and a whole lot more.

In former report from Forbes, Marathon Petroleum MPC -0.22% gained the top spot in being one of the best employers in the country. According to CEO Gary Heminger, "We've taken our culture into that refinery. We're going to operate it with the best safety and environmental skills available. We're going to invest in maintenance."

It has also been noted that Google bagged the second spot, with Costco and Wegman's Food Markets following Google's lead. Also, JetBlue Airways JBLU +1.21% takes eighth place overall and leads among transportation and logistics companies while the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ranks 12th and leads educational institutions, according to the same report.

Even Commercial real estate giant CBRE, which got number 15 for this year revealed that it is important to reform their business dealings to better aid their employees. In a statement rendered by CBRE exec Lewis C. Horne, "Two years ago, you could show up with a client, show them space, find the right location, prestigious building-you could make a deal. Today, if you're not talking about workplace strategy, and incorporating things like technology or wellness into your space, you're at a disadvantage."

Indeed, it is import to see things in a different way and being aware of the companies that seek to promote employee wellness is one of the aspects to look for. With the rising tension and competition in finding careers and jobs, as well as being equipped with a set of skills as noted by Jobs & Hire, it is still difficult to land a job that promotes wellness and are employee friendly.
