Women Rule IN The Voice Season 10, Christina Aguilera and Alisan Porter Declared Winners

Alisan Porter emerges victorious in the 10th season of The Voice.

As often as Alisan Porter had impressed the coaches since day one, with all 4 coaches turning their chairs around AND giving her a standing ovation during her blind audition, season 10 still proved a grueling battle against her other talented companions.

Porter had to go up against daunting competition. The impressive line-up of talent were Coaches Pharell Williams' pop sensible Hannah Houston, Adam Levine's bluesy singing, guitar playing Laith Al-Saadi as well as Blake Shelton's soulful songwriter Adam Wakefield.

The ex-Curly Sue, who'd chosen to be with Team Aguilera, is a 34-year old mother of 2 who'd struggled with alcohol in the past.

Christina Aguilera had been ecstatic of her potential winning team member. Host Carson Daly had admitted Porter's chances of winning were strong as well.

So she performed her final song during the finale. A particularly moving rendition of "Somewhere" from "West Side Story" that moved Aguilera to tears and won.

Alisan says: "I have retired from Curly Sue. I am now the girl who won The Voice! I've waited 30 something years...."

Christina Aguilera says, "Tonight is a true victory for women."

Adam Levin, Blake Shelton and Pharell Williams have all won as coaches. Christina Aguilera is the first female coach to win in The Voice.
